How Aleksandra and Nenad started
Aleksandra and Nenad Kuraica built Kafe K from scratch on Main Street — a husband-and-wife project rooted in a European sensibility and a genuine love of feeding people. Regulars know them by name, and that's exactly how they want it.
The way we cook
Every dressing and salsa is made in-house, the smoked salmon is wild-caught, and gluten-free options are baked into the menu as a given — not an add-on.
Morning through evening
Breakfast brings acai bowls, power bowls, and avocado toast. By evening the kitchen shifts into prosciutto pizza, rigatoni alla vodka, and a short list of beer and wine worth lingering over.
The patio and the neighborhood
The dog-friendly patio under white shade sails has become a second living room for this stretch of Santa Monica — freelancers, families, and regulars all mixed together in the California sun.

Owner-operated since day one — it shows in every plate, every staff member guests call out by name, and the feeling that someone genuinely cares about what's in front of you.
